Short answer
Stillwater homes are mostly brick New Traditionals plus the Windridge townhouses, and we paint both. With a median build year of 2001, many are at the age where wood trim, soffits and fascia need a full repaint, and interiors averaging about 4,378 square feet may be ready for fresh color.

On a brick house, the paint goes on the wood
A brick New Traditional needs little from a painter on its walls. The work is in the wood and composite around them: window casings, soffits, fascia, frieze boards and the trim around the garage. Those are the parts that peel and open at the joints, so we caulk the gaps, prime bare wood and finish in a durable exterior acrylic. The brick stays as it is unless you want limewash or a mineral paint.
Overnight lows in this area hold above 40°F from April through October, which sets the exterior season, and stain on any wood accents wants days between 50°F and 80°F. Cul-de-sac streets help with staging, since ladders and drop cloths do not crowd a through road. Homes near Book Road or the 87th Street and White Eagle Drive intersection just need a little more planning.
Inside homes that average about 4,378 square feet
Houses this size often have two-story entries, open family rooms and long runs of trim, so an interior repaint is sequenced, not rushed. We start in bedrooms and finish in the main living areas, keeping the kitchen usable throughout. Tall walls get planks or a small scaffold so the ceiling cut line stays straight, and nothing leans against fresh paint.
Kitchens from the early 2000s can be refreshed with painted cabinets: doors and drawer fronts come off, get degreased, sanded and primed, then sprayed for a smooth enamel finish. Custom homes, including those by Oak Hill Builders, come with one-off details we price after seeing them. For the Windridge townhouses, exterior colors follow whatever scheme the association has approved.
Six jobs that fit Stillwater's brick homes
Exterior Trim, Soffit & Fascia Painting
Brick walls need little paint, so trim, soffits and fascia carry nearly all the exterior work on these homes.
Two-Story Foyer & Vaulted Ceiling Painting
Large New Traditional plans often include tall entries and stairwells that call for planks or scaffolding, not a stretched ladder.
Kitchen Cabinet Painting
Kitchens built around 2001 are at an age when cabinet finishes wear thin at the handles and edges.
Brick Painting & Limewash
Owners who want a softer look can limewash the brick, which lets the masonry breathe and weathers in gradually.
HOA & Townhome Painting
Windridge townhouses share walls and rooflines, so exterior color and timing are planned for the whole building.
Color Consultation
Open rooms in a house of about 4,378 square feet show color differently wall to wall, so big samples help.
