Short answer
Indian Hill sits in north Naperville less than a mile south of I-88, and we paint its bi-levels, Colonials and newer row homes. Bi-levels need the lower-level walls, split-foyer stairs and upper siding planned together, while the Colonials depend on trim, shutters and a sharp front entry.

Split-foyer stairs and the lower level of a bi-level
A bi-level opens onto a small landing with one short flight up and one down. Those two flights carry everyone in and out, so rails, spindles and the wall corners beside them scuff first. We sand and recoat the rails, enamel the spindles and repaint the stairwell walls in a washable finish. An adjustable ladder that sits level on the steps replaces a leaned one.
The lower level sits partly below grade, so it can run cool and damp. Drywall down there gets a primer suited to those conditions, and any block or concrete wall gets a masonry coating instead of ordinary wall paint. If a lower-level wall shows white mineral deposits, the moisture source has to be fixed before any paint goes on.
Colonials, Tudors and Victorian-style homes on quarter-acre lots
The Colonials carry the familiar exterior list: window casings, shutters, a paneled entry and siding that fades fastest on its sunniest face. The smaller number of Tudor and Victorian-style houses take more brush time, with dark trim boards on the Tudors and layered porch details on the Victorians. Lots of a quarter to 0.3 acre leave space to stage ladders without stepping through the gardens.
New row homes are a separate case: fresh drywall and builder paint usually need little more than touch-ups and a tougher finish on trim and doors. Exteriors on any house in the neighborhood are booked between spring and fall, and our getting-ready checklist helps you prepare the rooms before work starts.
Indian Hill paint jobs, from split-foyer to curb
Basement Painting
The lower level of a bi-level sits partly below grade, so its walls need primers suited to cool, damp rooms.
Staircase & Banister Refinishing
Split-foyer stairs carry every trip in and out, so rails and spindles wear faster than anything else inside.
Exterior House Painting
Bi-levels and Colonials averaging about 2,721 square feet make a manageable full repaint within one warm season.
Exterior Trim, Soffit & Fascia Painting
Colonial fronts lean on casings and shutters, which show peeling sooner than the siding beside them.
Porch, Railing & Column Painting
The Victorian-style homes here bring porches and railings that need hand scraping and careful brush work.
Trim, Baseboard & Door Painting
Interior doors and baseboards that have taken years of traffic go from tired to crisp with sanding and hard enamel.
